Responsibilities

• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products in the department and store.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions, making suitable suggestions.
• Offer samples and assist with bakery items, including wedding cakes per customer requests.
• Decorate cakes, pastries, cupcakes and other bakery items.
• Check quality and freshness, review dates, and operate bakery equipment per guidelines.
• Label, stock, sign and inventory department merchandise.
• Maintain store layout awareness and stay current with ads and promotions.
• Follow health, safety, and loss-prevention procedures.
