Qualifications

• Retail experience is required or preferred.
• Bakery or cake decorating experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help customers by answering questions about products in the department and store.
• Gain knowledge of department products and provide recommendations.
• Assist with bakery tasks including decorating cakes per customer requests.
• Ensure product quality and freshness; monitor sell-by dates and operate bakery equipment.
• Decorate cakes, pastries, cupcakes and cookies as requested.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Follow safety, health, and store procedures in all tasks.
• Report discrepancies in stock or orders to the department manager.
