SCOPE OF POSITION:

Responsible for the secure and efficient operation of the ECM, TRU and Main bank locations. This includes overseeing daily operations, administration, and safeguarding casino assets. The role ensures all accounting activities within the Cage Department are performed accurately and efficiently, adhering to applicable laws, gaming regulations, Internal Controls, and company policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Follow all company and department policies and procedures.
  • Accurately handle, count, reconcile, and distribute large sums of currency and chips.
  • Processes, documents and issues/receives chips for fills and credits.
  • Maintain inventories and reconcile Marker, Front Money, and Safekeeping accounts.
  • Independently count ECM, TRU and Main bank assets and record inventory in computerized accountability system.
  • Perform and reconcile kiosk cash cassettes and reporting.
  • Perform physical maintenance of the Kiosk.
  • Maintain accurate record of all keys within assigned inventory.
  • Prepare and verify electronic and manual check deposit.
  • Prepare operations deposit and release to the assigned courier.
  • Verify all funds received from Drop and Count, external bank orders, and all Cage locations.
  • Verify all chips and currency received from Cage Cashier locations.
  • Break down bank bags of coin for distribution to Cage locations.
  • Accurately prepare and distribute cash and coin requests from Cage Banks to the venues.
  • Complete all required casino documents and follow all policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough departmental records and reports.
  • Attend and complete all assigned training.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
  • Perform duties of a Cage Banker and/or Cage Cashier as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Assist with other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Exemplify professionalism as a representative of FireKeepers Casino Hotel.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must possess the education, training, and experience necessary to demonstrate the ability to successfully perform all essential duties and responsibilities. FireKeepers reserves the right to verify the adequacy of a candidate’s qualifications through interviews, testing, and other evaluation methods.

Proficiency in both written and verbal English communication is required.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, demonstrate effective communication skills, and be highly adept with numbers and computer systems. Applicants must also be at least 18 years of age.

A minimum of six months of Cage Banker (or similar) experience is required, along with proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and familiarity with key Cage-related systems. Applicants must be able to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment that demands strong focus and the ability to resolve problems or conflicts diplomatically and tactfully. Proficiency in both written and verbal English communication is essential, along with one year of experience in a Casino Cage environment.

GENERAL OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants should have a comprehensive knowledge of all facets of Cage Operations. Familiarity with currency processing systems is preferred and considered an advantage.
