SHIFTS AVAILABLE: Day shift

PAY: Starting at $19.67 - $20.00 per hour, base, with opportunities for annual increases

SCOPE OF POSITION:

Responsible for all general Human Resources (HR) administrative functions relating to recruitment and employment to ensure that all necessary functions are completed in a timely and organized manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following is a list of the main duties and responsibilities. However, other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by management. All duties must be performed in accordance with Tribal, Federal, and other applicable requirements, organizational specific policies, procedures and practices.

  • Identify and initiate contact with prospective candidates for employment.
  • Conducts initial screening and interview of new applicants to ensure they are qualified for the position(s) for which they are applying.
  • Convey the company’s service culture and objectives to prospective candidates. Coordinates and manages interview schedules through entire hiring process.
  • Coordinates the daily processing of all applicant onboarding related documents including but not limited to tax forms, direct deposit form, etc.
  • Manage internal transfer process for assigned departments.
  • Support HR Recruiting Coordinator efforts with respect to Employment Office window traffic, applicant tracking process, and employment offer processing as needed.
  • Provide counsel to business partners with respect to company recruiting policies and practices, as well as government regulations.
  • Act as a liaison for the NHBP Gaming Commission to ensure applicant compliance to obtain gaming licensure.
  • Maintains the FKCH applicant tracking system (ATS), monthly recruiting call log, internal job board, and external job posting sites.
  • Source candidates by maintaining a pipeline and network of talent.
  • Attend career fairs, develop relationships with universities.
  • Direct Team Member inquiries on HR issues to appropriate area.
  • Examines Team Members’ files to answer inquires and provides recruitment related information to authorized persons.
  • May support the on-site clinic to perform pre-employment drug screening for applicants.
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record as outlined in the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Attendance Policy.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

An applicant’s education, training and experience must be sufficient to demonstrate that the applicant possesses the ability to successfully perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. Proficiency in both written and verbal English communication is required.

High School diploma or G.E.D., Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. One year of recruiting experience. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and/or similar presentation software. Must be at least 21 years of age.

GENERAL OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. Two years of recruiting experience. One year experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
