Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking a team member to support serving lines, prep ingredients, and maintain quality food presentation. You will work with diverse culinary tasks, ensure meals meet temperature standards, and assist customers with friendly service.

The role involves operating kitchen equipment, handling cash at times, and following safety procedures to support school meal programs. Collaborative teamwork and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred; or up to one month related experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide; compute rates, ratios, and percents.
• Reasoning ability: apply commonsense to follow instructions and solve concrete problems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of serving lines daily and ensure foods are held at proper temperatures.
• Prepare breads, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods as required by the menu while presenting to customers.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders and other equipment with proper certification.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and practice FIFO for inventory.
• Handle customer monies, run a cash register or computer, and ensure only reimbursable meals pass through POS.
• Follow HACCP and Daily safety logs; report unsafe conditions.
