Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking a kitchen support team member to prepare breakfast and/or lunch, assist serving lines, and participate in occasional catering. You will perform all kitchen duties as outlined in the job description.

The role emphasizes adherence to recipes, food safety, and equipment operation, while keeping work areas clean and organized and delivering friendly service in a school cafeteria environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; or up to one-month related experience, training, or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Set up serving lines daily and ensure food is held at proper temperatures.
• Prepare foods per menu and Opaa! recipes; batch cook as needed.
• Operate equipment (slicers, mixers, grinders) with proper certification.
• Keep work areas neat, clean, and organized; practice FIFO.
• Assist with cleaning, dishwashing, and stocking supplies.
• Serve items with proper portions and maintain friendly hospitality.
