Job summary
La Colombe is seeking an Assistant Cafe Manager to support the Cafe Manager in daily operations, guest experience, and team leadership. You will help recruit, train, and coach baristas to uphold La Colombe's renowned service and beverage quality.
In a fast-paced environment, you’ll balance hands-on floor leadership with scheduling, inventory, and safety compliance, ensuring smooth service, strong hospitality culture, and opportunities to grow with the team.
Qualifications
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in hospitality, retail, or food & beverage.
- Strong people skills and the ability to inspire a team.
- Knowledge of cafe operations, barista skills or coffee culture.
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of business operations (scheduling, inventory, POS).
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service and coach the team to maintain high service standards.
- Recruit, train and develop a high-performing cafe team with ongoing coaching.
- Ensure daily cafe operations meet food and beverage quality and safety standards.
- Manage opening and closing procedures and contribute to business growth strategies.
