Job summary

La Colombe is seeking a Shift Lead to guide a café team and deliver an exceptional customer experience on every shift. You will work on the floor alongside the team, coaching and directing tasks to ensure seamless operations and fanatically high service standards.

You will be trained across stations and play a key role in mentoring staff, opening/closing duties, and maintaining a positive, safe, and efficient work environment that reflects the brand’s commitment to quality.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to coach, direct, and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in customer service, retail, or hospitality, with a strong focus on customer-facing roles
• Capable of frequent walking, bending, reaching, and twisting during shifts
• Must hold a valid Food Safety Manager Certificate

Responsibilities

• Hospitality: connect with customers and provide excellent service, including espresso bar duty.
• Leader on Duty: set the shift tone, coach, delegate tasks, and maintain customer focus.
• Take Action: handle challenging situations with independent judgment and corrective actions as needed.
• Retail Merchandising: maintain an appealing retail space, stock, organize, and reset café areas.
