Port City Java is seeking a Café Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure top-notch customer service, and maintain health and safety standards in Wilmington, NC. The role includes staffing, scheduling, inventory, and coordinating local promotions with the corporate team.

You will lead, train, and evaluate Baristas while upholding Port City Java brand standards. The position emphasizes strong leadership, cash handling, and adherence to food safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a cafe or quick-service staff.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and health codes.
• Ability to recruit and train new baristas.
• Strong cash handling and financial record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service daily.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation per health regulations.
• Ensure product quality and integrity of food and beverages.
• Lead Baristas and enforce brand standards.
• Interview and hire new baristas and complete onboarding.
• Schedule cafe staff weekly.
• Manage cafe staff and coach for performance.
• Execute local marketing programs and promotions.
• Conduct bi-annual reviews and adjust pay when appropriate.
• Oversee cafe operations and staffing 8-15 people.
• Participate in weekly manager meetings with districts and departments.
• Take monthly inventories.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly paperwork (sales, payroll, orders).
• Ensure safe, efficient operation and health dept standards.
• Handle cash, credit, and gift card transactions; manage financial statements.
• Provide ongoing training and resources for staff.
