Port City Java in Southport, NC is seeking a Café Manager to oversee daily cafe operations, uphold brand standards, and drive customer satisfaction. The role reports to the corporate office and leads a team of baristas at 113 North Howe St.

Responsibilities include hiring and training staff, writing weekly schedules, managing inventory and cash handling, executing local marketing programs, and ensuring health and safety compliance. Strong leadership and operations experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience managing cafe staff and operations.
• Strong customer service and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of brand standards and health compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service and satisfaction on a daily basis.
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation in the café, following health regulations.
• Ensure product quality and integrity for all food and beverages.
• Provide leadership and direction to Baristas; implement new programs and brand standards.
• Hire, train, and onboard new baristas; complete onboarding paperwork.
• Write weekly Café schedules.
• Manage staff including interviewing, training, coaching, and performance reviews.
• Execute local cafe and system-wide marketing programs and promotions.
• Oversee daily operations to ensure policy compliance; manage 8–15 staff per cafe.
• Attend weekly manager meetings and share best practices.
• Take monthly inventories; manage store paperwork (sales, payroll, orders, reports).
• Ensure safe, functional operation and health compliance of the cafe.
• Handle cash, credit, and gift card transactions; maintain financial records.
• Provide ongoing training and support to staff.
