Job summary

Eataly in New York is seeking a Caffe Manager to lead the team, oversee BOH and FOH operations, and drive exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced café setting. You will manage scheduling, labor, inventory, and performance metrics, recruit and train staff, and collaborate with the Director of Operations to implement SOPs while upholding DOH and brand standards.

The role requires coffee expertise, strong communication, and hands-on leadership to deliver consistent service and support

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience supervising a café or quick service operation.
• Experience and knowledge in coffee and coffee production.
• Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations to ensure guest service, employee practices, financial performance, operational efficiency, and health and safety.
• Engages with Caffe employees to foster teamwork and operational excellence.
• Motivates, inspires, and develops team through setting clear expectations and leading by example.
• Assists in service operations such as barista, cashier, gelato, dining area maintenance, etc.
• Ensures adherence to Food Safety and Quality standards and DOH regulations.
• Collaborates with Director of Operations to develop and monitor SOPs.
• Manages labor, costs, inventory, regulatory compliance, pricing, and merchandising.
• Uses financial reports and product metrics to drive decisions.
• Schedules staff to maximize productivity and labor efficiency.
• Recruits and trains Caffe team members with HR support.
• Acts as a brand ambassador for Eataly to the community.
