Job summary

Tatte Bakery & Cafe in the Greater Boston area seeks an Assistant General Manager to partner with the General Manager and lead daily café operations, guest hospitality, and team development.

You will uphold Tatte's standards in service, food safety, and presentation while coaching managers and staff, managing schedules, and ensuring a warm, authentic environment for guests and team members.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of management experience in high-volume restaurant environments.
• Ability to lead under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist General Manager in owning café operations and guest experience.
• Model engaging hospitality and lead teams to service excellence.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, and training of team members.
• Coach staff and manage performance conversations and development.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and visual standards across the café.
• Contribute to cost controls and change management initiatives.
• Ensure effective operation and smooth communications with leadership.
