Job summary

Blank Street in New York City is seeking a Cafe Manager to own store operations, lead the hospitality team, and uphold product quality and customer experience. You will manage inventory, scheduling, and performance standards while driving growth and continuous improvement.

You will recruit and develop talent, ensure compliance with labor laws, and maintain high food and beverage standards. A strong coffee/background in espresso equipment is essential for success at this location.

Qualifications

• Experience managing single-store unit operations in a hospitality or consumer brand.
• Ability to recruit, train and develop staff; strong scheduling skills.
• Knowledge of inventory management, supply orders and cost controls.
• Strong knowledge of coffee, espresso, equipment and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Create a motivating, engaging team culture through training, coaching and mentoring.
• Cover scheduling gaps and publish staff schedules according to labor laws.
• Review timecards and PTO to ensure accurate and timely pay.
• Recruit talent with People Team support; oversee training quality by Shift Leads.
• Maintain coffee accreditations and ensure product quality and consistency.
• Manage vendor relations, ordering, waste, inventory counts and compliance.
