Job summary

Restaurant Associates is seeking a Café Manager in NYC to oversee daily cafe operations for a premier client account, ensuring top quality, service, and operational excellence. You will lead the cafe team, supervise associates, and drive a polished guest experience aligned with brand standards.

The role includes cost control, productivity, and overall business performance responsibilities, with a focus on staff development and client satisfaction in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in high-volume cafe ops.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and related food service operations.
• Operational knowledge of cash handling procedures and food service equipment.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• ServSafe or Department of Health Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hires, supervises, trains, and coaches associates.
• Plans, markets, and executes special events/promotions in the cafe.
• Ensures compliance with proper sanitation and cleaning standards.
• Operates within the budget and identifies new ways to improve the business.
• Manages cafe operations at a high-volume cafe location.
