Cool Moose Café is seeking a dependable, experienced Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations at our busy neighborhood café in Riverside Jacksonville.

• We are looking for a hands‑on leader who can confidently manage the restaurant floor, kitchen flow, staff performance, guest experience, and daily priorities.
• The ideal candidate should be able to assess what is happening, anticipate needs, delegate effectively, coach employees, and keep operations moving without constant direction from ownership.
• Responsibilities include overseeing front- and back‑of‑house operations, staffing and scheduling, opening and closing procedures, food quality, cleanliness, inventory awareness, cash handling, customer service, and compliance with food safety standards.
• The Restaurant Manager will also be expected to set clear expectations, hold team members accountable, address performance concerns appropriately, and help create a positive, efficient, and professional work environment.

Because Cool Moose is independently owned, flexibility and initiative are essential. Some days may require jumping onto the line, helping with prep, resolving a guest concern, training an employee, adjusting staffing, or handling an unexpected operational issue. The right person will know how to prioritize immediate needs while continuing to manage the bigger picture.

Previous restaurant management or significant supervisory experience is strongly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate sound judgment, reliability, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead by example.
