Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking a Kitchen Manager for a vibrant café group in the Jacksonville area. You will lead a scratch kitchen, uphold food safety, and mentor back-of-house teams to deliver quality, consistent menus.

This full-time role offers a competitive base salary, a bonus up to 15% of base, and 50% employer-covered health insurance, plus generous PTO. Strong leadership and cost-control skills are essential to drive growth across multiple new openings.

Qualifications

• Scratch kitchen or upscale coffee/food concept experience.
• Strong kitchen leadership and back-of-house operations.
• Knowledge of food safety standards; ServSafe preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead back-of-house team in daily kitchen operations and uphold quality.
• Oversee food safety, sanitation, inventory, ordering, and waste.
• Execute menu items, maintain prep lists, and ensure recipe consistency.
• Optimize portion control and manage kitchen costs to meet targets.
• Motivate, train, and mentor kitchen staff to foster a positive environment.

Kitchen Manager Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous experience managing a scratch kitchen or upscale coffee/food concept
• Strong background in kitchen leadership and back-of-house operations
• Proven knowledge of food safety standards and ServSafe Certification preferred

Kitchen Manager Preferred Background & Skills

• Experience with QSRs featuring scratch kitchens or higher-end coffee concepts
• Skills in vendor relationships, ordering, and food cost management
• Familiarity with batch cooking, prep systems, and recipe management
