Job summary

Union Square Hospitality Group seeks a Cafe Chef for Daily Provisions in Boston to uphold Enlightened Hospitality, lead BOH operations, and ensure high standards across dine-in, delivery, and catering. You will coach and develop team members, enforce protocols, and drive food quality, guest satisfaction, and financial targets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of culinary/kitchen leadership in casual dining.
• Strong food & beverage knowledge and guest-experience focus.
• Experience training and developing Back of House team members.
• Clear, respectful communication across teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Hospitality-related certification or equivalent preferred.
• English fluency; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Enlightened Hospitality to guests and team members.
• Partner with Front of House and Back of House for systems, routines, and checklists.
• Maintain equipment and ensure clean, compliant kitchens per ServSafe/HACCP/allergen protocols.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain for ordering and inventory management.
• Own Back of House P&L including food cost, waste, labor, and inventory turns.
• Train and validate team members, conduct station checks and tastings.
