Daily Provisions is hiring a Cafe Chef to lead our kitchen with excellence and hospitality in Washington, DC. You will guide BOH operations, train staff, and collaborate across teams to deliver consistent quality and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in culinary/kitchen leadership and casual dining.
• Excellent food & beverage knowledge and passion for culinary excellence and guest satisfaction.
• Experience in training and developing Back of House Team members.
• Ability to communicate directly, respectfully, and transparently with all teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Consistently deliver a culture of Enlightened Hospitality to guests and team members.
• Partner with Front of House and Back of House to enforce systems, routines, and checklists.
• Collaborate with Facilities to maintain equipment and ensure clean, compliant kitchens per ServSafe, HACCP, and allergen protocols.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure ordering, inventory, and product management.
• Own Back of House P&L: food cost, waste, labor, and inventory turnover.
• Train and validate team members, conduct station checks, and lead tastings and presentations.
• Foster clear communication and a culture of professionalism and accountability across teams.
• Support and manage operations in front of house as needed.
