Daily Provisions in Union Square, NYC, is seeking a Cafe Chef to lead culinary operations with warmth, running consistent BOH execution and training. You’ll mentor back‑of‑house staff, uphold standards, and collaborate with the Daily Provisions Executive Culinary Director and Chef Claudia Fleming to elevate guest experiences.

This full‑time role offers a salary of $80,000–$85,000 with bonus eligibility, comprehensive health coverage, paid time off, a matched 401(k), dining benefits, and commuter

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of culinary/kitchen leadership and casual dining experience.
• Excellent food & beverage knowledge and passion for culinary excellence.
• Experience in training and developing Back of House staff.
• Strong communication across teams in a respectful, direct manner.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Hospitality-related certification preferred.
• English fluency; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality execution and a culture of Enlightened Hospitality.
• Partner with Front and Back of House to enforce systems and checklists.
• Collaborate with Facilities to ensure clean, compliant kitchens and HACCP logs.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain for ordering and inventory management.
• Own Back of House P&L: food cost, waste, labor, inventory turnover.
• Train and validate team members; conduct station checks and tastings.
• Foster professional communication and HR policy adherence.
