Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; retail, food service, or customer service experience preferred.
• Must be ServSafe certified or have a food handler permit as required by state/local health department.
• Position requires lifting up to 30 lbs, frequent standing, and flexible scheduling including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily cafe operations, ensuring safety, sanitation, and product quality per Macy's Foods Division and Health Department standards.
• Model Macy's Selling behaviors to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Coach and motivate team members through ongoing feedback and development.
• Ensure consistent preparation, presentation, and merchandising of all food and beverages; adjust recipes per customer requests.
• Monitor labor productivity to balance service with cost control.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, inventory management, and invoice processing to maintain stock and costs.
• Track sales and expenses; communicate results to leadership to meet profit goals.
• Oversee cash handling and point-of-sale operations in line with Macy's policies.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming cafe environment; uphold grooming and conduct standards.
• Collaborate with store leadership to drive operational excellence and resolve customer concerns.
