Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to support transit and multimodal projects in the US. The role involves coordinating intelligent models across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP to produce federated, clash-checked deliverables.

You will lead clash detection, enforce BIM standards, mentor staff, and ensure model integrity across design disciplines and offices. This is a US-based role with potential travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with trade training in CADD drafting and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination across architecture, transportation, roadway, and MEP into a single federated model.
• Model coordination and clash detection using Navisworks and cross-discipline resolution.
• Establishes and enforces CADD/BIM standards and workflows per Autodesk stack.
• Mentors production staff and provides design sketches for finished drawings.
• Acts as Intelligent Modeling Coordinator throughout project lifecycle.
• Performs checks to ensure consistency with Q/C standards and design criteria.
