Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Intelligent Modeling Coordinator in the United States to lead multi-discipline model coordination for transit and multimodal projects. You’ll align architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design and MEP into a federated, clash-checked model across the project lifecycle.

You will establish BIM standards, guide junior staff, and coordinate with clients and subconsultants while ensuring adherence to design criteria and project

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational training in basic CADD drafting and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP to deliver a single federated model.
• Perform clash detection in Navisworks and lead resolution across disciplines.
• Establish and enforce CADD/BIM standards, templates, and workflows across offices.
• Mentor production staff and provide design sketches for finished drawings and layouts.
• Coordinate model deliverables and data handoff requirements with clients and subconsultants.
• Support field assignments and develop BIM Execution Plans and model-based scope.
