Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Intelligent Modeling Coordinator for transit and multimodal projects in the United States. You will lead cross-discipline coordination, integrate models across architecture, structures, roadway, and MEP, and ensure federated, clash-checked deliverables.

The role requires extensive CADD/BIM knowledge, experience with Autodesk tools, and the ability to mentor staff across offices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational training in basic CADD drafting and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP; deliverables are federated and clash-checked.
• Model coordination and clash detection; run Navisworks checks and resolve conflicts early.
• Establish and enforce CADD/BIM standards, templates, and workflows per Autodesk and DOT criteria.
• Mentor production staff and guide junior designers in creating accurate design drawings.
• Coordinate model health, versioning, and interoperability across Autodesk and Bentley tools.
