Job summary

Blue Origin LLC on Space Coast, FL seeks a CAD Drafter I to develop and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings using PTC Creo Parametric 12 and Windchill PLM for ground support equipment supporting New Glenn launch operations.

You will work under senior designers, learning ASME Y14 standards and Model-Based Definition practices while contributing to mechanical, structural, fluid, and electrical layouts and tooling development.

Qualifications

• 2-year AS degree in CAD, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Drafting & Design Technology, or equivalent technical certification.
• Foundational GD&T knowledge.
• Experience with CAD drafting for aerospace/mechanical systems is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with ASME Y14 drafting standards.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detail part and assembly models and drawings using PTC Creo Parametric 12 and Windchill PLM under senior guidance.
• Assist with Model-Based Definition (MBD) datasets including 3D annotations and PMI.
• Support mechanical/structural layouts and electrical system design including enclosure assemblies and cable routing.
• Review drawings for compliance with specifications and standards.
• Support change management workflows and document control.
