Job summary

Southwire Company is seeking a Cabler 1 Operator for the 3rd shift (Sun–Thu, 10:50 pm–7:00 am) in Villa Rica, GA. The role involves safe, efficient operation of cabling machinery, loading reels, making hook splices, reading production orders, and quality checks to ensure on-time delivery.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, English proficiency, physical stamina, and the ability to stand and lift heavy loads. The position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must read, write, and speak English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate cabling machinery safely and efficiently.
• Load/unload reels and prepare tooling per production orders.
• Read and interpret production orders; adjust lay length and binder tightness.
• Perform machine inspections and quality checks to ensure conformance to specs.
• Maintain housekeeping and follow 5S standards; report issues promptly.
