Job summary

Southwire Company, Lafayette, IN, seeks a Cabler 1 Operator to safely run and load equipment, splice cables, read orders, and install tooling for production. The role requires standing, lifting heavy loads, and basic reading of production orders.

The shift is 6:45 pm to 7:00 am, with pay between $21.84 and $23.24 per hour. Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or equivalent and English proficiency; Spanish language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must read, write, and speak English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate with supervision and communicate with supervisor and peers.
• Complete production orders to customer specifications, ensuring on-time delivery.
• Perform machine inspections and manage scrap appropriately.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
• Cross-train and rotate within the group as needed.
