Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking entry-level to lead technicians for a 6-month site at the Google Data Center construction in Haskell, TX. The role involves installing fiber optics, data center cabling, racks, and preparing equipment for deployment in new builds.

Candidates with military experience or training in fiber optics and data center builds are encouraged; lead techs should be able to supervise teams and take initiative on a large site. Fully onsite, contract-to-hire option.

We Are Open To Candidates Who Are

• Former military experience, veterans who are able to complete a 2 week Fiber Optics installation boot camp
• Candidates who have completed a training class in the fiber optics and datacenter building phase
• Lead Level Techs - Candidates who have previous experience installing fiber optics equipment, ability to supervise teams of techs, with experience in data center build projects.

The Role

6 months of work in the IES site at the Google Data Center construction site

Installing data center cabling and equipment - fiber optics, racks, cable trays

Preparing equipment ready for installation into new build data centers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Lift 50 pounds
• Work in construction space - heat/cold, inside and outside work

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
