Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking Level 1 technicians and Lead Technicians for a contract role at the IES Racktory site in Altoona, IA. Responsibilities include installing data center cabling and equipment, fiber optics, racks, and cable trays, with supervision of teams of technicians on large data center builds.

Qualified candidates have fiber optics training or military experience, and the ability to supervise and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Entry Level or Lead Technician experience preferred.
• Candidates with fiber optics installation training preferred.
• Ability to supervise teams on data center build projects.

Responsibilities

• Install data center cabling and equipment (fiber optics, racks, cable trays).
• Prepare equipment for installation in new build data centers.
• Work on site at Altoona, IA with potential for 6 months duration.

Level 1 technicians and Lead Technicians needed.We are open to candidates who are:- Former military experience, veterans who are able to complete a 2 week Fiber Optics installation boot camp- Candidates who have completed a training class in the fiber optics and datacenter building phase- Lead Level Techs - Candidates who have previous experience installing fiber optics equipment, ability to supervise teams of techs, with experience in data center build projects.The Role:6 months of work in the IES Racktory site in Altoona IAInstalling data center cabling and equipment - fiber optics, racks, cable traysPreparing equipment ready for installation into new build data centers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
