Job summary

CLA is seeking a seasoned accounting professional to join its CAAS practice in Milwaukee, WI or Minneapolis, MN. You will develop internal controls, lead budgeting and financial planning, and prepare statements for regulatory bodies, while advising management on financial objectives.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of accounting experience; CPA is preferred. Travel to client sites and in-office work are expected. CLA emphasizes growth and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
• 7 years of relevant accounting/financial experience required; logistics experience preferred.
• QuickBooks experience highly preferred; proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for budgeting and cash management.
• Coordinate financial planning and budgeting activities for the organization.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for regulatory agencies.
• Evaluate funding needs and investment of surpluses with recommendations.
• Monitor KPIs and performance of accounting staff; drive improvement actions.
• Advise management on short- and long-term financial objectives and actions.
• Communicate with boards, bankers, investors, and stakeholders regularly.
