Job summary

AECOM is seeking a California Traffic Engineering State Manager based in Orange, Los Angeles, or Oakland, CA, to lead mid- to large-size projects and mentor a California traffic engineering team.

This role requires a BS with 10+ years experience and a CA PE/TE license; salary range is $155,000–$190,000 yearly with a hybrid work model and Day 1 onboarding. The successful candidate will drive client relationships and deliver high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• BS with 10 years of relevant experience or equivalent
• California PE or TE license required

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and provides technical expertise for mid- to large-size projects
• Leads technical client relationships and plays a major role in selling
• Leads discipline department efforts to grow technical expertise
• Leads technical business development work
• Provides guidance and mentoring to engineers and technicians
• Manages traffic engineering staff and project delivery across California
• Leads traffic design tasks and plan approvals for Caltrans and other agencies
• Supports a wide range of traffic engineering projects for roadway, freeway, transit systems, and pedestrian facilities
