Job summary

Terrible Herbst is seeking an Assistant Manager Trainee to lead customer service excellence at our Cove Fort, UT location. You will help operate the c-store and gas pumps, control inventory, schedule staff, and drive sales while maintaining profitability and safety standards.

You will learn store operations, complete daily reports, supervise employees, and be prepared to cover shifts as needed. A proactive communicator with reliability and basic computer skills is ideal.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years of age and eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to communicate with customers in a busy environment.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 45 lbs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure outstanding customer service and maintain a customer-friendly environment.
• Control shrink, expenses, and schedule employees per guidelines.
• Manage merchandise stock, perishable dates, and shelving with signage.
• Train staff and ensure compliance with policies and certifications.
• Handle money, POS operations, and cash handling with accuracy.
• Prepare daily activity reports and fuel surveys.
• Cover shifts as needed and support district staffing.
