Job summary

Refuel is seeking a C-Store Assistant Manager in Durant, MS to support the Store Manager with daily operations, hiring, and training. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, well-stocked store, delivering friendly service, and ensuring compliance with beverage laws.

The ideal candidate has retail or customer service experience, can work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, and will lead staff to meet performance and safety standards while controlling costs.

Qualifications

• Retail, food service, or customer service experience.
• Must be able to do basic math at the eighth-grade level.
• On-the-job training is provided for all new team members.

Responsibilities

• Work days and hours as needed, typically five days per week, with some weekends.
• May work up to six days per week when retail performance demands.
• Work assigned shifts, including at least two nights per week.
• Support daily store operations and complete tasks per company policies and area manager direction.
• Ensure compliance with all city, county, and state beverage laws.
• Deliver prompt, courteous service to every customer.
• Lead and assist staff to maintain cleanliness and organization for store inspections of 90%+ scores.
• Complete training and maintain customer-ready standards (restrooms, parking lot, fuel islands, counters, merchandise).
• Ensure accurate cash handling, register balancing, and timely deposits.
