Job summary

Hawkstone Search is recruiting a Business Transactions Associate for its Corporate/M&A practice in New York, with offices across New England and the Northeast. The role focuses on sophisticated M&A, private equity and venture capital work for multinational clients and high-growth companies.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of transactional experience.
• Strong drafting and negotiation experience across M&A, PE and/or VC.
• Acquisition finance experience is helpful but not required.
• Top academic and transactional credentials.
• Excellent writing, research, negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong team orientation and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Base salary

$195,000 - $220,000 for New York and Massachusetts offices; market-scale compensation elsewhere

About the practice

I'm partnering with a highly regarded, Vault-ranked Am Law 200 firm that is continuing to grow its Business Transactions Practice Group.

This is an opportunity to join a sophisticated transactional team advising multinational companies, private equity firms and high-growth businesses across M&A, private equity, venture capital, joint ventures and broader corporate matters.

The role offers genuine responsibility drafting and negotiating transaction documents, with exposure across a broad range of corporate and financial matters. Acquisition finance experience is a plus, but not required.

The firm also has strong national recognition for its associate experience, with Vault recognition across areas including workplace culture, inclusion, lateral integration, technology and wellness.
