Job summary

Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College is seeking a Business Services Analyst to support the Business Services division with payroll validation, grant documentation, and records management. The role emphasizes automation and efficiency through SharePoint solutions and workflow improvements.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree in a related field and at least two years of financial operations experience, with familiarity of ERP/Colleague systems and strong attention to policy

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
Two years of full-time or equivalent work experience in financial operations, business systems, or administrative operations with analytical responsibilities.
Experience with business systems (ERP, financial systems, or document management platforms) to improve efficiency or data integrity.
Experience organizing and managing documentation in accordance with policies or compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

Payroll data entry, validation, and audit analysis; reconcile timesheets and identify discrepancies.
Backup to Payroll Accountant II; assist with full-time payroll and seasonal data entry of payroll deductions, bonuses, and retro raises into Colleague.
Compile and prepare grant invoices and supporting documentation.
Design, implement, and maintain records management systems within the department.
Lead and support projects focused on process improvement, workflow redesign, and technology-driven solutions.
Coordinate financial operations for leadership, including P-card transactions, timesheets, travel documentation, purchase orders, and invoice processing.
Coordinate departmental communications, meeting agendas, and documentation for leadership.
Contribute to the College Vision, Mission, Values, and RISE statement.
Support workforce diversity in all its aspects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
