Job summary

Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College is seeking a Business Services Analyst to support payroll validation, grant documentation, and records management with a focus on process improvement. You will coordinate financial operations, assist with payroll data entry and related audits, and implement technology-driven solutions.

The role requires an Associate's degree and 2 years of relevant experience, with preference for higher education finance background and familiarity with ERP/document

Qualifications

• Associate degree and two years of relevant experience in financial operations or administrative operations with analytical responsibilities.
• Experience with business systems and applying them to improve efficiency or data integrity.
• Ability to organize and manage documentation in accordance with policies and compliance requirements.
• Preferred: higher education or public sector finance experience; payroll processing or grant reporting experience; foreign language skills.

Responsibilities

• Payroll data entry, validation, and audit analysis; reconcile timesheets and identify discrepancies.
• Assist with full-time payroll and seasonal data entry into Colleague; backup to Payroll Accountant II.
• Compile and prepare grant invoices and supporting documentation.
• Design and maintain records management systems aligned with retention and audit standards.
• Lead projects focused on process improvement, workflow redesign, and technology-driven solutions.
• Coordinate financial operations for leadership, including P-card transactions, timesheets, travel docs, purchase orders, and invoicing.
