DESCRIPTION

Amazon One Medical is revolutionizing primary care, and we're seeking a Business Operations Manager to lead our internal communications for One Medical's Clinical and Central Operations team (Services supporting virtual medical services and AOM - Customer Care). Our mission is to transform healthcare through a seamless combination of innovative technology and exceptional patient-centered care.


The Centralized Operations Support team is seeking an experienced Business Operations Manager to join our team and partner closely with our VMS and AOM-Customer Care Operations (Mission Control) programs. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing impactful communications strategies to inform and engage our internal teams and stakeholders. This includes supporting town halls, company announcements, and project-level communications and change management. You will work closely with our Business Leads including: L&D, Performance Excellence (Product/IT), Virtual Medical Services, and Strategic Initiatives PMs to ensure seamless, transparent, and trusted communications.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Demonstrate highest standards in all communications, maintaining flawless quality and attention to detail.
  2. Exercise ownership over the internal communications function, proactively identifying opportunities and driving initiatives forward.
  3. Earn trust with internal partners by delivering reliable, transparent, and audience-centric messaging.
  4. Exhibit a bias for action, quickly responding to evolving program needs and adapting communications strategies as required.
  5. Learn and be curious, asking questions and seeking new perspectives about possibilities and acting to explore them.
  6. Create engaging content for town halls, company announcements, and project-level updates.
  7. Partner with business leaders to ensure consistent, cohesive messaging across the organization.
  8. Leverage healthcare industry experience (if applicable) to tailor communications for our operating environment.
  9. Contribute strong document writing skills to enhance clarity and effectiveness of change management.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • 3+ years of experience developing and managing internal business communications
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities
  • Success in driving impactful communication strategies and supporting organizational change
  • Ability to develop comprehensive communication plans aligned with business objectives
  • Strong sense of brand and editorial voice; ability to harmonize messages across channels
  • Experience leading through influence and managing complex issues
  • Patience, maturity, and a positive, solution-oriented approach in challenging situations
  • Ability to interface with all organizational levels
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft or Google Suite
  • Bachelor's degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in healthcare or regulated industries (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, PR, or related field
