Job Description
General Statement of Responsibilities

Provide instruction for Personal Finance (BUS175) a3-credit course that serves as a business elective for students inbusiness programs. This course also meets a general educationelective (interdisciplinary studies). Comprehensive instructionincludes methodologies for students developing conceptualunderstanding of personal finance with an emphasis on developinggood money management skills. This position is to be filled forthe Fall 2026 semester and the course will be delivered/offered oncampus.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a relatedfield (including Education).
  • Effective pedagogical, teaching, and presentation skills.
  • Experience using evidence-based strategies to support studentsuccess including frequent communication and active learning.
  • Experience in the accounting field.
  • Ability to create a classroom environment that engages studentsand supports learning.
  • Skill in using technology to support the writing, teaching, andlearning processes.
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • College-level teaching experience.

Additional Information
Compensation

Anticipated starting salary - Step I DCE PayScale (currently $4,536 for 3-credit course). Part-time,non-benefited DCE/MCCC Unit position.
