The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. seeks a qualified individual to teach Fire Science courses at Cape Cod Community College. Responsibilities include classroom instruction and assessment of student learning in courses such as Fire Prevention, offered in-person. Ideal candidates will have a Master’s degree in Fire Science or a related field, professional firefighting experience, and effective teaching skills.
The position is part-time, with anticipated starting salary based on a DCE PayScale. Applications will be reviewed upon receipt.
Classroom instruction and assessment of student learning in Fire Science course(s). Courses for the Fall 2026 semester include FSC151-63, Fire Prevention offered in-person on Tuesdays from 6:30-9:30pm. Additional courses in the Fire Science curriculum may be available for the Spring 2027 semester.

Anticipated starting salary - Step I DCE PayScale (currently $4,536 for 3-credit course). Part-time, non-benefited, MCCC Unit Position.
