Job summary

Fragomen in Detroit seeks a senior immigration professional to lead client relationships with middle and senior management, delivering strategic counsel on complex immigration matters.

You will formulate immigration strategies, independently manage case preparation, and mentor Associates while driving process improvements and supporting business development. A strong understanding of client industries and regulatory standards is required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong client relationships with key stakeholders, engaging with clients at middle and senior management levels for counsel and consultation.
• Formulate and present well-structured immigration strategies for intricate matters, acting as a business advisor with a deep understanding of client industries and associated risks.
• Independently manage case preparation and filing for complex matters, researching technical immigration issues, formulating solutions, and completing necessary documentation.
• Develop in-depth expertise in sector-specific issues to effectively resolve client scenarios.
• Identify and capitalize on revenue opportunities through new business initiatives and growth within the existing client base.
• Supervise, mentor, coach, and manage the performance of Associates and other staff (prior team management experience strongly preferred).
• Lead continuous improvement processes for quality, efficiency, and standardization of firm offerings.
• Support Partners and senior team members on client proposals, pitches, business plans, and RFPs, while also participating in marketing and business development.
• Ensure adherence to firm protocols for file maintenance, record-keeping, data quality, and compliance with regulatory, operational, and client standards.
