Job summary

Janus Henderson is seeking a business-facing engineer to partner with desk users and turn their friction into AI-enabled data solutions. You will own solutions from first conversation to live running, spanning data ingestion, model integration, and production governance.

The role embeds with business units to ship impact across the firm. You will work across the Nexus platform, Accio, and Azure Foundry while applying Terraform, Python, and SQL in a collaborative, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• At least four years in a technical, business-facing engineering role.
• Strong Python and SQL; production-ready applications.
• Production experience with LLMs and agent development.
• Experience building data pipelines and enterprise data views.
• Cloud with Azure, CI/CD, containers, and infrastructure as code.

Responsibilities

• Sit with business users to understand workflows, data, and friction.
• Partner with AI Enablement Partners on escalated demand that business teams cannot deliver.
• Set realistic expectations on feasibility, scope, and what will not be done.
• Design, build, and productionise bespoke, higher-complexity AI solutions from idea to live running.
• Own architecture and design decisions for secure, scalable solutions and governance.
