Job summary

Janus Henderson Group is hiring a Senior AI Platform Engineer to own the AI tooling estate, including the model gateway, Copilot services, and lifecycle management. The role spans Azure AI Foundry integration, onboarding pilots, and governance controls, reporting to the Head of AI Technology.

You will collaborate with AI Engineering, AI Governance, AI Security, and Procurement to scale trusted AI capabilities while maintaining cost controls and compliance across the firm.

Qualifications

• At least five years in platform engineering, software engineering, DevOps, SRE, or cloud engineering.
• Strong automation skills in Python and hands-on Azure IaC/CI/CD.
• Production experience with LLM APIs and AI platforms.
• Tenant-scale admin of enterprise SaaS platforms (policy, licensing, entitlement).
• Good judgement in regulated environments, translating security and audit requirements into controls.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and operate the AI tooling estate across the platform.
• Run the model gateway and onboard AI software and services.
• Administer and deploy Copilot services and manage licences and cohorts.
• Own telemetry, budgets, licences, and vendor relationships across the AI estate.
