Qualifications
- Deep expertise in at least one data platform pillar (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, orchestration).
- Advanced SQL skills including performance tuning and cost optimization.
- Strong Python engineering with reusable frameworks or libraries.
- Ability to design cross-domain data systems with awareness of downstream impact.
- Experience with delivery trade-offs and maintainability decisions.
Responsibilities
- Own design and delivery of complex data engineering capabilities across subsystems.
- Design systems spanning multiple products or domains.
- Provide deep technical expertise in core platform pillars (Snowflake, dbt, orchestration).
- Build reusable engineering assets (dbt macros, Python packages).
- Diagnose performance, reliability, and cost issues across platform levels.
- Mentor engineers, run design reviews, and establish standards.
- Communicate trade-offs to stakeholders and collaborate on DevOps practices.
