Job Summary
The Business Development Specialist plays a key role in identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and supporting the sales pipeline. This position requires a strong understanding of the construction industry, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to client engagement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed product sales targets.
- Analyze market data to identify sales potential, key industry segments, and high-growth opportunities.
- Prospect and engage with potential clients and partners to expand the customer base.
- Provide technical guidance and demonstrate a thorough understanding of company products to align with client needs.
- Prepare and implement market strategies in line with Barts Electric’s strategic plan and forecasting models.
- Create and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for both the company and the client.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address client inquiries, resolve issues, and provide a seamless customer experience.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage high levels of sales activities, including client meetings, networking events, and CRM updates.
- Consistently achieve activity goals.
- Perform additional duties as required to support business objectives.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Proficiency in CRM systems such as Salesforce or similar platforms.
- Strong relationship-building skills with clients and partners.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field or at least 5 years of related experience required.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
