Job Description

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Associate (SaaS - HR and Payroll Software)to join our team. As a Business Development Associate, you will be responsible for identifying and generating new business opportunities through outbound calling and market research. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Industry Knowledge: Look for candidates who have a solid understanding of the Human Capital Management, Human Resources and Payroll industry, including trends, market dynamics, and competitor analysis.
  • Sales and Negotiation Skills: Excellent skills to drive revenue growth and establish partnerships with vendors, colleagues in the industry and other peers in the industry. They should be able to pitch products effectively, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
  • Strategic Thinking: Develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share. Must have the able to identify growth opportunities, develop pricing strategies, and analyze market data to inform decision-making.
  • Relationship Building: Be Fun! Enjoy entertaining, networking and fun collaborations with prospects, partners, other similar company representatives in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, distributors, retailers, and potential customers. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively are essential for cultivating successful partnerships.
  • Analytical Skills: Requires analyzing market trends, sales data, and financial metrics to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement. Must have strong analytical skills who can make data-driven decisions and measure the success of business development initiatives.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: Must have an entrepreneurial mindset and are proactive, innovative, and resourceful in pursuing business opportunities and overcoming challenges. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be willing to take calculated risks to drive growth.
  • Customer Focus: A customer-centric approach is crucial for success in business development. Must be passionate about understanding customer needs and delivering value-added solutions that enhance the customer experience. Ability to find creative and innovate solutions for client's business needs related to HR and Payroll software.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Must be adaptable and flexible, able to pivot strategies quickly, response to changing market conditions, or business priorities. They should be open to feedback and willing to continuously learn and evolve in their role.

Note: This position is 100% remote.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract or W2

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year (Base compensation) + Commission + Performance Bonus

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field in Sales, along with relevant experience in business development, sales, or marketing, would be ideal. Previous experience in the SaaS softwares, HR and Payroll softwares industry or a related field would be a plus.
  • Know how to build trust and credibility is crucial when engaging with established retailers
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Customer service experience is a plus
  • Inside sales experience is a plus
