We're looking for a results-driven Business Development Representative to lead and execute strategic growth objectives. This role involves identifying, engaging, and qualifying new B2B opportunities to expand AquaBlu Mosaics’ trade customer base, including pool builders, contractors, designers, and architects. The position focuses heavily on outbound prospecting to grow our B2B customer book, nurturing inbound trade application leads, and supporting initiatives that drive new account signups.
The ideal candidate should have experience in the tile and/or outdoor living industry, an entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for growing markets, and an understanding of modern CRM systems & digital marketing tools to effectively and efficiently build strategic sales funnels.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Engagement & Account Activation
- Proactively follow up with all new B2B trade applicants who submit forms through our website
- Qualify applicants based on company criteria and assist them through the account setup process
- Ensure timely and professional communication with trade applicants via phone, email, and CRM
- Open and activate new B2B accounts in HubSpot once qualified
- Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience
Prospecting & Business Development
- Identify new potential B2B customers across architecture, design, pool construction, and hospitality industries
- Conduct outbound prospecting via email, LinkedIn, phone calls, and industry lists
- Close first-time customer orders, set appointments, and hand off new accounts to the Regional Sales Manager
- Maintain detailed records of outreach, activities, and conversations within the CRM system
Growth of B2B Signups
- Assist in developing strategies to increase the number of trade program signups (e.g., email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, identifying trade show opportunities)
- Collaborate with marketing to suggest improvements to trade application pages, calls-to-action, and promotional campaigns
- Regularly report on trade application conversion metrics and suggest optimizations
- Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager to prioritize high-potential prospects
- Provide weekly reports on outreach activities, lead status, and opportunities in the pipeline
- Participate in sales meetings and training sessions to continually improve skillsets and contribute to overall team goals
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or lead generation (preferably B2B)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with excellent follow-up habits
- Proficient in CRM tools (HubSpot experience is a plus)
- Self-starter mentality with a passion for winning new business
- Familiarity with the architecture, design, or construction industries a plus
Compensation:
- $44,000 base salary + competitive commissions on new account sales.
- Expected 1st year pay including commissions: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00+
