About the role

The Business Development Representative (BDR) will serve as the first point of contact for prospects interested in DroneDeploy, scheduling qualified discovery meetings for our Account Executives (AEs). Reporting to the Sr Manager of Pre-Sales, the BDR acts as a vital link between marketing demand generation and sales. Responsibilities include following up on inbound leads, providing feedback on campaign effectiveness, and supporting AEs through outbound activities such as cold calling, emailing, and social engagement. The goal is to expand our presence in the mid-market and enterprise sectors and grow our customer base. The ideal candidate is competitive, collaborative, and eager to work cross-functionally to generate demand.

Responsibilities
  1. Achieve and surpass monthly and quarterly goals for generating qualified opportunities.
  2. Deliver excellent customer experience to inbound prospects, ensuring leads are engaged and qualified.
  3. Qualify prospects using the SPICED framework and gather sales intelligence.
  4. Schedule and coordinate discovery meetings with decision-makers.
  5. Collaborate with AEs to develop account strategies and close new business.
  6. Research intent signals and use data tools to generate and engage new leads.
  7. Maintain high outreach activity levels across various channels.
  8. Provide feedback on workflows, tools, and campaign results.
  9. Work with sales and marketing teams to optimize demand generation processes.
Requirements
  1. 1+ years of experience in inbound and outbound sales or sales development, preferably in SaaS.
  2. Proven success in achieving quotas as a BDR or similar role.
  3. Strong skills in personalized outreach via email, calls, texts, and videos.
  4. Experience with sales tools like Salesforce, Outreach, 6sense, Zoom, LinkedIn/Sales Navigator, and Zoominfo.
  5. Self-aware, coachable, and resilient in overcoming challenges.
  6. Curious and willing to bring your unique approach to the role.

  8. Availability to work Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm PT.
  9. Ability to work remotely with at least quarterly in-person team meetings; local SF Bay Area candidates are encouraged for more frequent meetups.
  10. Willingness to travel domestically up to 25% for events and trade shows.
