Job summary

First Atlantic Federal Credit Union is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive acquisition, retention and expansion of member relationships in the Freehold and Old Bridge areas. You will manage a portfolio of business clients, promote FAFCU services, and lead loan applications through referral partners.

You will engage with community businesses, educate members on multiple channels, and proactively cross-sell to meet immediate and future needs.

Qualifications

• Successfully demonstrate effective selling skills and behaviors.
• Exhibit a thorough knowledge of credit union products and services.
• Self-motivated and work in a team environment.
• Flexible work schedule that will include some evening and weekend hours.
• Educate and promote the use of multiple delivery channels for member convenience.
• Conduct service follow-up calls to deepen and expand member relationships.
• Proactively offer and cross sell additional products and services to complement members immediate product need.
• Be open to learning new processes and methods and take the initiative to apply them to your job.
• Requires four years of college or a bachelor’s degree; or comparable combination of education and related business experience.
• Require at least five to ten years of prior work experience.
• Must have working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing software; must be able to utilize PC and all types of general office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage acquisition, retention, and expansion of new and existing member relationships within a designated market area.
• Oversee a portfolio of business clients with credit account relationships ensuring profitability with minimum risk.
• Drive loan applications from referral partners to FAFCU.
• Establish contact with potential business member prospects to build relationships and explore services opportunities.
• Be visible and accessible in community businesses to promote FAFCU and respond to member needs.
• Cross-sell additional products and services to deepen member relationships.
• Promote and educate use of multiple delivery channels for member convenience.
• Be proactive in learning new processes and methods and apply them to job responsibilities.
