Job description

Yole Inc. (YNA) is responsible for the marketing and business development of Yole Group’s market intelligence products focused on the semiconductor industry, including market forecasts, technological developments, supply chains, and the strategy of key players in the semiconductor, photonic and electronic sectors. YNA’s business is based on daily interactions with a network of major players in these industries, built over two decades of mutual trust.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND MISSIONS:

To support our rapidly growing business in North America we are looking for a Business development Manager dedicated to researching and developing new opportunities with both existing and greenfield customers. Working closely with Regional Sales Directors, you will drive the development of sales across our product portfolio (Reports, Monitors, and Tracks) by defining and executing a strategic market development plan to create opportunities with customers both existing and new.

In this position, you will need to work purposefully across multiple verticals and feel comfortable talking with decision makers at every level at the client account. Your ability to effectively communicate our unique value proposition and aggressively develop a network of contacts and clients will enable you to be fully successful in this position.

Location: this position is ideally based on the West Coast (ideally Phoenix, but Denver/San Diego/Seattle is also possible) and is fully remote.

Regular business trips to customers on the West Coast are expected (e.g., San Francisco, Phoenix, San Diego, etc.).

As a Business development Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing B2B relationships and have direct contacts with the customers to strengthen the collaboration, understand their activities and trends, and to identify business opportunities
  • Increasing the West Coast business network
  • Developing opportunities, sending proposals, and following-up with clients
  • Attending conferences and trade shows
  • Reporting and forecasting sales activities
  • Working collaboratively with the US sales team, marketing, customer success, and our technical experts to execute the BD strategy
  • Participate in customer visits or meetings, when needed, with our analysts’ teams
  • Updating order processing systems, tracking database, and/or CRM system
  • Bring your thinking, strategies, and ideas to advance our company’s values and culture

PROFILE

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in business or in a technical field (engineering, electronics, nanotechnologies)
  • 5-8 years of experience in the semiconductor/electronic industry in customer-facing role or B2B sales role
  • Eagerness to develop your sales skills and achieve your targets
  • Strong partnership skills, and intellectual curiosity for technology
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales analytics tools
  • International open-mindedness, growth mindset

COMPENSATION

The base salary range for this role is $95,000 to $115,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to base salary, this position includes variable commission, estimated at approximately 33% of base salary. Variable compensation is performance-based and includes uncapped commission opportunities.
