We are a boutique consulting firm specializing in helping independent hotels and small lodging businesses optimize operations, increase revenue, and enhance guest experiences. We offer tailored services in revenue management, operational audits, digital marketing, and staff training. As we grow our client base, we are seeking an entrepreneurial and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team on a contract basis.

Position Overview

As a 1099 Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and closing new consulting opportunities with independent hotel owners and operators. You’ll use your hospitality industry knowledge, network, and sales acumen to expand our footprint and drive revenue growth. This is a remote, commission-based contract role, ideal for someone with experience in hotel sales, consulting, or B2B hospitality services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify potential clients within the independent hotel and boutique lodging segments.
  • Develop and execute outreach strategies (cold outreach, networking, LinkedIn, industry events, etc.).
  • Conduct discovery calls and needs assessments with prospects.
  • Present company services, value propositions, and success stories to decision-makers.
  • Close new consulting contracts and assist with onboarding handoff.
  • Maintain CRM records, activity logs, and pipeline updates.
  • Collaborate with leadership on marketing and partnership opportunities.
  • Represent the brand with professionalism and hospitality expertise.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of business development, sales, or client acquisition experience in the hospitality or hotel industry.
  • Strong understanding of hotel operations, challenges, and consulting needs.
  • Existing network within the independent or boutique hotel market is a strong plus.
  • Proven track record of hitting sales targets or client acquisition goals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable operating independently in a commission-based structure.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce) preferred.
