Job description

The Bradley Group is currently seeking a Business Development Manager in Greer, SC.

This position does require a proven track record in selling Staffing Services.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, driven Business Development Manager to grow our staffing and recruiting business through new client acquisition and relationship development.

This is a sales-focused, hunter role for someone who enjoys prospecting, opening doors, building relationships, and turning conversations into business opportunities. The Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new clients, develop relationships with key decision-makers, uncover workforce needs, and partner with recruiting teams to deliver staffing and hiring solutions.

The ideal candidate understands that staffing sales is a relationship business—but also knows that relationships start with consistent prospecting, follow-up, and asking for the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new business through cold calling, email outreach, networking, referrals, social media, and in-person prospecting.
  • Identify and target companies with temporary, temp-to-hire, contract, and direct-hire staffing needs.
  • Build relationships with HR professionals, hiring managers, operations leaders, executives, and other key decision-makers.
  • Conduct client meetings to understand workforce challenges, hiring plans, skill requirements, and business goals.
  • Present staffing and recruiting solutions based on each client's specific needs.
  • Generate qualified job orders and new client opportunities.
  • Negotiate pricing, service agreements, and terms within established company guidelines.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently follow up on prospects and opportunities.
  • Partner closely with recruiters and operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to recruiting and placement.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with new clients to identify additional opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Track sales activity, client contacts, opportunities, and results within the company's CRM/ATS.
  • Participate in networking events, professional associations, community activities, and other business development opportunities.
  • Stay informed about local employment trends, hiring challenges, compensation, and workforce conditions.
  • Meet or exceed established goals for sales activity, new accounts, job orders, and revenue.
Qualifications
  • Previous business development, outside sales, or staffing industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to generate new business and develop a sales territory.
  • Comfortable with cold calling and proactive prospecting.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with everyone from HR and hiring managers to plant leadership and C‑suite executives.
  • Self‑motivated, competitive, organized, and comfortable working independently.
  • Strong follow‑up skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities at different stages of the sales cycle.
  • Experience using CRM, ATS, LinkedIn, and other prospecting tools preferred.
  • Knowledge of staffing, recruiting, workforce solutions, or B2B professional services is a plus.
What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means consistently creating new conversations, getting in front of decision‑makers, uncovering hiring needs, bringing in qualified job orders, and developing those opportunities into long‑term client relationships.

We are looking for someone who doesn't wait for the phone to ring. You are comfortable picking up the phone, walking into a business, asking for a meeting, following up when you don't hear back, and staying in front of a prospect until the timing is right.

Most importantly, you understand that successful staffing sales isn't about making one sale—it's about becoming a trusted workforce partner that clients call when they need help finding great people.
